We are happy to announce that MGAC is expanding its leadership team and welcoming our newest Vice President, Cynthia Montanez. Cynthia will be based in our San Francisco office and comes to the team with over two decades of industry experience having worked as both a general contractor and an owner’s representative, most recently with Kylli, Balfour Beatty, and Cumming. To date, Cynthia has worked across multiple sectors on nearly three dozen projects in and around the Bay Area. In her new role, she will be focused on helping to expand the team and portfolio of our growing San Francisco office.

Her background affords her a unique perspective on our industry. She is a proven problem-solver, and the enthusiasm she brings to her work is infectious. We are thrilled to have her on board.”

“Throughout the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects—everything from small tenant improvements to multi-building campuses, schools, hospitals, and everything in-between,” says Cynthia. “I have worked on teams both big and small throughout the Bay Area. What excites me about joining MGAC is not only the range of sectors the company has experience in, but the quality of work they deliver—and the sheer talent behind it all. There is so much opportunity in San Francisco, and I look forward to working alongside this team as we continue to grow MGAC’s presence in the Bay Area.”

Cynthia was born in Marysville, CA, and, as a military brat, has called many places home over the years. Today, she resides in Benicia, CA, with her husband, Michael, and rescue cat, Dennis. When she’s not working, Cynthia can be found hiking, knitting, and trying out new recipes with family and friends.
