Ongoing DEI Initiatives

Employee-led and ever-evolving, our DEI initiatives are an active commitment to be better than we were yesterday. We have made strides towards becoming who we want to be as a firm and now our focus lies with expanding these efforts globally to create a united culture.

Firmwide Training

A more informed employee base is an important step towards a more inclusive employee base. Through Diversity & Inclusion and Anti-Discrimination training, our employees are taught what it means to be part of a diverse workforce and how our actions can make a difference.

science

In2Science

Science, technology, engineering and mathematics are subjects that often act as a gateway to A/E/C careers. Our UK offices host placements for local young people interested in experiencing professional life in a construction consulting environment to hopefully help them reach their potential in STEM.

podcasts

Podcast

Sharing and understanding our employees’ experiences helps unite us as a firm. Our team members from historically marginalized groups share challenges they face while working in the A/E/C industry on our podcast “MGAC Inner Voices.”

Pronouns

Pronouns are a very personal self-identifier and using an individual's correct pronouns creates a more welcoming space for our colleagues within and beyond MGAC. Employees are given the opportunity to self-identify their pronouns in our email signatures.

Diversity Calendar

Knowledge of significant holidays and events around the world, and their importance to our colleagues, creates empathy and a space for appreciation. To ensure this information is easily accessible to our employees, MGAC creates a firmwide monthly calendar capturing all the details and personal stories.

Book Club

Reading is a great way to walk in another person’s shoes and build empathy for diverse perspectives. MGAC hosts a book club centered around DEI where our employees can connect, discuss thought-provoking ideas, and learn from one another’s belief systems and experiences.

Student A/E/C Outreach

Exposure to a variety of professions enables young people to aspire and dream of their futures. We engage with various underrepresented populations, educating students on the A/E/C industry and the career opportunities available to them.

woman

Women in Construction

The A/E/C industry is male-driven and it is paramount to actively create a place where women can find confidence, gain inspiration, and network. We focus on advancing professional opportunities to women.
