NFL Los Angeles, West Coast Headquarters

Inglewood, California, United States

Project Summary

Just in time for the 2021 regular season, the NFL opened the doors to the league’s new West Coast Headquarters in Inglewood, California. Positioned 50 yards from SoFi Stadium, home to the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, the move from Culver City puts the league closer to the action than ever before. Sporting 214,063 SF of office space and 74,922 SF of studio and studio support space, the Class A complex bolsters the work of the hundreds of employees behind the NFL Network,, NFL RedZone, the NFL app, and more.

MGAC's Role

Engaged by NFL, MGAC provided project and cost management services, including coordinating the base building construction by Wilson Meany, in parallel with overseeing the design and construction of the ambitious expansion. MGAC additionally managed all technology, audio-visual, and scenic work to deliver the complete studio package, leading and integrating overlapping work streams into the master project budget and schedule.

Home to workspaces, an expansive newsroom, and studios individually designed to support film, radio, podcasts, voice-over, and green screen, the build required over a dozen project partners. Industry-leading scenic elements were particularly intricate, and MGAC managed change orders, schedule shifts, significant cost considerations, and the oversight of many contractors. The suspension of a 2,000-SF, 120,000-pound super grid–supporting stadium sound control and the weight of studio film lights—required coordination with lighting design teams, sound engineers, architects, structural engineers, electricians, and HVAC installers.

Success Factors

The new NFL Los Angeles headquarters embodies the creativity of the NFL Media team and the excitement of the NFL brand. With large-scale water and plant features, roof access with unrivaled views of SoFi, outdoor gathering spaces, and a special practice field for guest player warm-ups, filming, and special events, the campus offers an energizing atmosphere for employees and visitors alike. Plus, state-of-the-art studio and support space mean NFL fans across the globe are close to the action, too.
