As a military brat, I grew up all over the United States, so, for a long time, home was a moving target. Seeing so much of the country and experiencing so many new things gave me an appreciation for change, a master class in lifelong learning, and a lived understanding of the importance of building and maintaining strong relationships. Today, home is Benicia, CA, in the North Bay Area. I put down roots here many years ago now, and I haven’t looked back.
Living and working in San Francisco fuels my creativity and pushes me professionally. This area is home to constant innovation and some of the industry’s most interesting, challenging, and rewarding projects. I take great pride in seeing happy clients in their finished spaces.
I often describe my work as problem-solving. That translates to on-paper project planning, of course, but I most enjoy the ways it relates to people. Team-building—finding and connecting the best people for the job—is what allows for the entire process of a project to fall into place. We have so much skilled talent in the Bay Area, and it is endlessly rewarding to bring together people who will bring out the best in one another.
When I am not working, my husband, Michael, and I enjoy getting out of the house in search of new hiking trails and live music. At home, I can often be found curled up on the couch alongside our rescue cat, Dennis, with some knitting needles in hand or in the kitchen experimenting with untried recipes.
