Amanda Thomas Joins MGAC as Senior Vice President to Expand the Firm’s Texas Presence
MGAC is thrilled to welcome Amanda Thomas, our newest Senior Vice President. Amanda comes to the firm with nearly 20 years of built environment experience that spans workplace strategy, sustainable design, operations, architectural design, and project management experience across several market verticals. She will leverage her depth of experience in her new role as she strategically expands our network and expands our reach across the Lone Star State.
“MGAC is built on the best talent in the industry, and as an accomplished, ambitious professional with a wealth of experience, Amanda is no exception,” says Steve Hay, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director. “She brings both high-level vision and on-the-ground expertise, having played a role in everything from operations and team growth to design, oversight, accounting, and marketing. We see tremendous opportunities in Texas for MGAC and are excited to expand our presence and continue to invest in the market, and we’re fortunate to have her on board.”
Grounded as a Registered Architect, Amanda began her career in Texas and has spent the last seven years working in project management in Washington, DC. This new role takes her home to her native Texas, where she earned degrees from Austin College and the University of Houston.
“I feel so privileged to join the ranks of MGAC and help write this exciting next chapter,” Amanda says. “Texans are hard-working, fiercely loyal, and independent. That said, our work here will be far from one-size-fits-all. Each and every market has its own defining personality and, with that, unique project potential. I’m ready to hit the ground running, tailoring our approach to best capitalize on the deep and diverse growth opportunities on the horizon here.”
