LONDON (May 2022) — MGAC | RLF, a global cost and project management consultancy, has announced two senior appointments in the UK. Joining as director in the firm’s London office, Kalimba Culverwell will be focused on business development, whilst Rob Kay will be joining the Birmingham team as director and project management lead. The two new hires will be involved in MGAC | RLF’s strategic development and the expansion of its growing client base.
Joining from Birmingham-based Quantem Consulting, Rob Kay has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Under his stewardship, Rob’s previous team was named “Project Management Team of the Year” at the Midlands Insider Awards. He has helped deliver prestigious buildings such as the Paradise Development and 103 Colmore Row, as well as many other renowned projects in the City.
Responsible for growing MGAC | RLF’s business and clientele in the South East with her impressive network, Kalimba Culverwell previously worked in the architecture and design industry for over 12 years. A graduate of Oxford University, she has worked at Pritzker Prize winning Zaha Hadid Architects. More recently, Kalimba was at Hyphen for six years, an international architecture company active in Europe and Latin America, representing well-known brands across commercial sectors such as hospitality, retail, offices, data centres, distribution and logistics. She brings eclectic experience, and strong communication and relationship building skills to MGAC | RLF’s London office.
