LONDON (28  September 2022) — MGAC | RLF, the global project and cost management consultancy has announced Mark Gilhawley has joined the company as a director in its London office to lead on hotel and hospitality projects in the United Kingdom and Europe and to support further growth within that sector in North America.

Mark joins from JLL where he worked as a director and sector lead for hotel and hospitality project development projects across EMEA. He has more than 17 years’ experience with a focus on the hospitality, leisure, and residential sectors during which he has enjoyed success providing project management, cost management, and acquisition and technical support to a diverse range of clients.

Mark has been involved in landmark hotel developments, renovations, acquisitions, and disposals across the UK and wider European markets with recent projects including Conrad Dublin and Sheraton Stockholm. Within the past five years, he has delivered more than 5,000 keys and over €750 million CapEx spend across these regions.

Mark’s other notable projects include luxury refurbishments across key European cities with clients, such as Dorchester Collection, Qatar Investment Authority, Archer Hotel Capital B.V., Marriott International, Hilton, and Diamond Resorts, as well as the restoration of a historic Italian borgo in Tuscany into a luxury hotel resort. He also has extensive experience supporting clients with expansions and multi-site rollouts including CitizenM, David Lloyd Leisure, and Maison Albar.
