As Managing Director at MGAC, Tim Hannaway came to our company with over 23 years of experience in construction management. Tim received his Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech before beginning his career as a Project Architect for Ellstreet Corporation. He later moved on to Jones Lang Lasalle Americas, Inc., where he served as Project Manager of Project and Development Services and was later promoted to Assistant Vice President of the same department. Most recently, Tim served as Managing Director of Faithful+Gould, a project management consultancy located in Washington, DC.
“I have admired MGAC for over a decade due to the quality of their projects and the prestigious clientele with whom they work,” says Tim. “Beyond this, I am most impressed by the reputation MGAC holds in the market. They are consistently described as an organization of highly capable professionals delivering exceptional results, while operating with the utmost integrity and enthusiasm, and it is this balance of capability and character that sets MGAC apart.”
Tim is a founding member and served as the Co-Chair of the Construction Industry Institute’s (CII) Federal Facilities Delivery Community of Practice (FFDCOP), from its inception in 2011 through the close of the FFDCOP in 2016. In addition to CII, Tim is also a member of the Construction Management Association of America, Washington Builders Congress, CoreNet Global, and is an OSHA-certified professional.
Tim prides himself on being a self-taught amateur chef; when not at work, he enjoys composing his next palette of tastes, textures, and temperatures, preparing for the next time he gets to cook for large groups of family and friends. He lives in Mason Neck, Virginia with his wife, Yvette, and his two children, Elena and Pàdraig.
