MGAC on the Move: Eliot-Hine Middle School
The building process is complex and comes with common—and not-so-common—challenges. Learn more about what we do as Project Managers in our monthly video series, MGAC on the Move. Each month a different member of our team will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at one of their current projects. Now let’s get moving!
This month, Alex Casey gives us a tour of the new modernized Eliot-Hine Middle School in Washington, DC.

Hi. This is Alex Casey, project manager with MGAC. Today, I’m here at Eliot-Hine Middle School, our project with the D.C. Department of General Services. Let’s get moving.
The school site enhancement project includes two basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields, making up over 2 acres of public space to be used by the community and the school. The new library is in what used to be the school’s gym. This new, more modern space includes separate breakout rooms for students and staff. The renovation of the middle school’s historic auditorium included custom millwork and plaster throughout, as well as technological upgrades to facilitate the school’s state-of-the-art theater and music programs.
Hope you enjoyed seeing what’s happening at Eliot-Hine Middle School. Follow us to see MGAC’s next move.
