Project Summary
The Department of General Services (DGS) retained MGAC in 2017 under an IDIQ contract to provide project management services for District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) and the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) portfolio construction projects. Through this contract, MGAC’s subject matter experts are providing technical support to DCPS and DPR Project Managers in all stages of planning, scope and budget alignment, design, and construction for a variety of project types and sizes. In addition to these services, MGAC is responsible for developing and managing DGS’s Close-Out Program for all stabilization and modernization projects for DCPS, which include process development, training, project team management, and inter-agency coordination.
MGAC’s ability to quickly step in to augment the DCPS and DPR construction and facilities staff has helped them overcome obstacles and delays related to their projects and to achieve its goals of improving the functionality of their existing spaces, enhancing the usability of their facilities, and increasing the interaction between the constituents of the District of Columbia with the schools and recreation communities.
Our initial contract with DGS estimated the IDIQ would be roughly 15 projects over the course of five years. To date, MGAC has provided services on nearly 50 projects under this contract and is on its sixth year.
