MGAC on the Move: Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial
The building process is complex and comes with common—and not-so-common—challenges. Learn more about what we do as Project Managers in our monthly video series, MGAC on the Move. Each month a different member of our team will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at one of their current projects. Now let’s get moving!
This month, Kevin Lippincott gives us a tour of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial in Washington, DC.

Hi. My name is Kevin Lippincott, and I’m a Project Manager at MGAC. Let’s get moving!
With the U.S. Capitol Building in the background, I’m joining you from the National Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial. The client, U.S. General Services Administration or GSA. Opened to the public in September 2020, the national Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Park is available 24/7, and free of charge.
Each tapestry panel, 600 panels in total, is approximately 3 feet wide by 15 feet tall, installed onto the high tension cable net system which spans an area of 450 feet wide by 90 feet tall. Throughout the duration of this project, MGAC was directly responsible for coordination between the artist fabricated elements, roughly $8 million dollars of stainless tapestry panels, and the highly customized steel components the art was installed on, with custom-made cable net system you can see here.
Hope you enjoyed seeing the completed National Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial. Follow us to see MGAC’s next move!
