MGAC Launches Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) Employee Resource Group

At MGAC, our strength has always been in our people, and celebrating and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace is central to MGAC’s culture. This year, we’re excited to mark Women in Construction Week and International Women’s Day by introducing the firm’s first-ever Employee Resource Group (ERG): the Women’s Initiative Network (WIN).

The employee-led group will focus on supporting and advancing the development of women at all levels of the firm. Women continue to be underrepresented in the A/E/C industry, and through regular meetings, social outings, special programming, and mentorship opportunities, WIN will build on MGAC’s commitment to growing a team that exceeds those statistics and reflects the world around us.

“At MGAC, we are grateful to have talented women across the firm, and through WIN, we will be able to build stronger relationships across our offices, facilitate important conversations about what it means to be a woman in the industry today, and continue to pave the way for women to advance and grow within the company,” says Kristina Leighty, Senior Vice President in our Washington, DC office.

“As a firm, we believe it’s important to be deliberate about our culture, and WIN will allow us to more formally and proactively support the evolving needs and goals—both personal and professional—of the women at MGAC,” says Melani King, Director of Talent in the UK. “It’s only fitting to kick off this initiative on International Women’s Day, and we are excited to hit the ground running.”

The formation of this group marks an important milestone for the firm, and we look forward to sharing more updates on WIN and introducing more company ERGs in the future.
