Blue Whale Donated to MUN’s New Core Science Facility
Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) has received a rare blue whale skeleton that will be displayed in the atrium of its new Core Science Facility.
Out of the Depths: The Blue Whale Story tells the story of two whales washed ashore in Western Newfoundland in April of 2014.
A partnership with MUN and the Royal Ontario Museum(ROM) has preserved the two giant mammals, which the museum then arranged to have cleaned and the skeletons prepared for display.
Found together, the whales will now have separate homes – one committed to the exhibit in Toronto, ON and the other to the atrium of MUN’s new Core Science Facility, for which MGAC is serving as project manager.
