Project Summary

Responding to a client’s changing lifestyle, this modern single-family 13,000 SF residence in a dense urban neighborhood features cutting edge technology integration, multi-tiered water features, and extensive physical and electronic security considerations.

The sleek design features large-format glazing wrapped around a structural steel frame. A cantilevered glass stair rises through the home’s four levels, ending at a rooftop spa and bridge to the guest house. From the onset of the project through occupancy, MGAC worked with the Client to overcome technical challenges in order to execute their highly modern design. The home sits on a heavily sloped urban site, requiring large, structural cast-in-place retaining walls. The site also required coordination with adjoining properties given subsurface rock excavation.

MGAC represented the Client in all aspects of this project. Our scope of work included the integration of technology for home control, shading, security, and fire. These technologies, all from disparate vendors and platforms, were brought together into a single user interface by the experts on our Technology Solutions team, providing a seamless experience for the Client.
