US Naval Institute’s Jack C. Taylor Conference Center Breaks Ground
MGAC is excited to announce the groundbreaking of the Jack C. Taylor Conference Center, a 400-seat auditorium with break-out rooms and a rooftop terrace located adjacent to the Naval Institute’s headquarters on the Naval Academy Yard.
One of the strengths of the United States Naval Institute is its ability to bring together military and civilian leaders, historians, policymakers, informed citizens, and those who stand watch to illuminate important issues, regardless of official sanction. This new center will do just that – create deeper connections and continue the success of mission-driven educational programs. Named after Jack Taylor, World War II fighter pilot and later founder of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the new Conference Center will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including integrated television production capabilities for live streaming, broadcast, and webcast. It will be able to accommodate meetings up to top secret/SCI and will be LEED Silver certified.
“This groundbreaking is more than just the shoveling of dirt, it’s groundbreaking for our Navy’s future – specifically in education, leadership and character training.”
– Vice Admiral Sean S. Buck, Superintendent, US Naval Academy
