Bou Terrace Expansion at Strathmore Opens in North Bethesda
The Bou Terrace expansion and renovation at Strathmore opened Thursday with a special ribbon cutting ceremony featuring various members of the community. The Music Center at Strathmore serves as the cultural heart of Montgomery County, MD and hosts performances and educational programs by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, National Philharmonic, Washington Performing Arts, CityDance, Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras of Strathmore, and Levine School of Music.
The renovation encloses the outdoor terrace, moves and rebuilds the existing curtainwall, and addresses patron mobility with the addition of an escalator descending from the building’s main Promenade level to the Orchestra level.
