MGAC first worked with UC Davis Health on the facility master plan budget for the Medical Center located in Downtown Sacramento. Costing of four options for the new California Tower expansion, as well as renovations within existing adjacent spaces, were provided. Plans for the new tower ranged from nine to 15 stories and 455,000 SF to 718,000 SF.
Following the completion of the master plan budget, UC Davis Health asked MGAC to provide cost estimate peer review services on two new projects—the Sacramento Ambulatory Surgery Center (SASC) located at their main Sacramento Campus and a Medical Office Building (MOB) located on their Folsom Campus.
The 262,000 SF SASC facility will be a freestanding building with plans to provide 12 operating rooms, 58 recovery bays, and 14 overnight recovery rooms. Additional programming includes imaging space, clinical support operations, physical therapy, and administrative support space.
The new Folsom MOB is expected to be 110,000 SF on a 11-acre site. The building will include procedure rooms, clinical space, imaging services, and building support services.
