The Westin Seattle, Seattle, WA
Since 2010, MGAC has managed the renovation of all public facing spaces in the hotel, starting with a 900 key guestrooms and suites renovation in 2012, followed by all meeting spaces and a new concept Relish restaurant, and most recently the completion of the main lobby and new concept 1900 Fifth Avenue lobby bar and lounge in 2018.
For each of these projects, MGAC managed the entire process, from team selection through close out. All new designs implemented the Westin brand standards with its emphasis on wellness. All renovations were completed with the hotel remaining fully operational throughout the construction phase.
The guestrooms, corridors, and suites renovation included new softgoods, casegoods, and bathroom vanities. The Relish restaurant renovation involved the repositioning of an existing two-meal restaurant into a three-meal restaurant, and the addition of a “Grab ‘n Go” outlet and cafe. Over 70,000 SF of meeting and prefunction space was renovated, including a 2,000 person grand ballroom. Over 12,000 SF of this area was restored by capturing underutilized spaces and renovating them to Westin meeting room standards.
