MGAC’s long-standing relationship with The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner includes the management of several renovation projects. This relationship began in 2010 with an extensive renovation of the lobby, bar, ballroom, food services, guestrooms, suites, and corridors to bring them up to date with the iconic Ritz-Carlton experience and to create luxurious brand continuity throughout the property.
The refurbished arrival lobby and reception areas feature custom crystal chandeliers, sconces, soft seating, art, and accessories. The former lobby lounge and restaurant were converted into flexible meeting space with an expanded lounge area. Guestrooms and corridors received new carpeting and furniture, with only two floors out of service at any time to minimize disruptions to guests. Extensive HVAC upgrades were also required to improve air flow.
Four years later, MGAC was invited back to manage the full renovation of the guestrooms, suites, and corridors. Renovations included new softgoods and casegoods, lighting, wall coverings, desks and chairs, beds, room furniture, and artwork. Bathroom upgrades included new brightware, accessories, and illuminated mirrors, as well as ADA-compliant upgrades.
