National Museum of Intelligence and Special Operations, Ashburn, VA
In 2016, the OSS Society turned to MGAC to build momentum on a $82M development project, that had the basis for the museum. A master plan, a concept vision for the building, and a land lease offering from a local developer. As owner’s representative, MGAC has led the project through lease negotiations/execution, procurement/assembly of a top-shelf exhibit design team to work alongside the architect, and assisted with development of fundraising packages and donor meetings to explain the importance of this project to honor Americans serving at the “Tip of the Spear”.
This 56,000 SF building will contain 19,000 SF of interactive and experiential exhibits, and serve to educate the American public about the importance of strategic intelligence and special operations to the preservation of freedom. The education and conference center will be utilized by NMISO’s education partner, Georgetown University Center for Security Studies. MGAC will be responsible to procure and manage the general contractor, exhibit fabricator, technology vendors, food service consultants and a multitude of other parties required to bring this museum to the Loudoun County development of Kincora.
