Located in the heart of Downtown Seattle, the Motif Seattle recently completed a modernization to improve the guest experience and attract new customers. The Owner’s design objective was to express Seattle’s unique culture and environment, including incorporating works by local artists.
As a boutique hotel looking for a uniquely Seattle flavor, several alternate, non-traditional procurement channels were utilized. Guests may utilize a special Seattle-themed amenity in their rooms – a “rainy day wall” feature to hang wet apparel that utilizes dock cleats for the coat hooks – a nod to Seattle’s boating culture.
MGAC was engaged after completion of the model rooms to bring the guestrooms, suites, and corridors renovation project into alignment with the Owner’s budget. Due to design revisions and model room modifications, the guestrooms renovations started a month later than targeted. Working closely with the Owner and hotel management, MGAC was able to adjust the schedule and the renovations were completed within the original timeframe.
