Department of General Services, Sacramento, CA
The project comprises a new 20-story building for the Department of General Services in downtown Sacramento. The building will have an expected capacity of 3,450 employees, consolidating office space for multiple government agencies, including the Department of Water Resources, the California Natural Resources Agency, and the Department of Parks and Recreation.
The approximately 800,000 SF building will include office space, assembly, storage, building support, retail, and commercial food service space. One level of subterranean parking will hold approximately 160 vehicles. Additionally, the building will be Zero Net Energy and is targeting a LEED Platinum certification. An allowance is included for relocation of the existing Heilbron House building.
