The Pentagon Memorial was completed in 2008 as a tribute to the 184 individuals who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. As part of the original plan, Pentagon Memorial Fund has dedicated time, effort, and funds to further remember this day by constructing a planned Visitor Education Center to compliment the Memorial and share this story of our nation’s bravest day with the rest of the country. In 2018, MGAC was selected to provide project management services for this monumental build. The new construction of a 52,000 SF building will contain 15,400 SF of exhibits designed to educate the public about the events on 9/11 surrounding the Pentagon, as well as to remember the lives lost, and direct attention to the already built Memorial nearby. There will be a conference center, meeting rooms, and support facilities located throughout the building which may be rented out for public and private use. MGAC is providing project management services and is responsible for the procurement and management of the general contractor, exhibit fabricator, technology vendors, food service consultants, and many other parties required to deliver this state-of-the-art visitor experience to the client and public.
