We provide comprehensive services in construction management, project development, and advisory services to a diverse clientele. With over 350 employees and growing, we are seeking a Project Manager to help support our Los Angeles area projects.

This opportunity requires:

- Master’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering 

- Three years of project management experience in the construction industry using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

What the job looks like:

  •  Track and submit invoices, purchase orders, and other financial commitments, exposures, and obligations. Prepare financial reports and projections, monitoring project expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Oversee project budget to ensure costs are kept under control and that financial goals are met.
  • Provide documentation and written record as to the progress, issues, solution, inspections, change orders, construction changes, meeting, drawings, products, and other items that reflect project progress, or the lack thereof.
  • Keep the Senior Project Manager informed on progress and stages of the projects, provide briefing sessions at major completion stages.
  • Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize negative impact to the project delivery and success. Alert Sr. Project Manager to conditions that could lead to significant delays in the completion of work or when the construction schedule falls behind.
  • Participate in business development activities to promote and maximize opportunities for MGAC, including cross-selling of MGAC services on all projects.
  • Attend meetings as the Owner's Representative with the project team.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members and share best practices.

Ideally, you'll have the following:

  • Master’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering 
  • Three years of project management experience in the construction industry using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred but, relevant work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving, presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
