The Grand Brighton, an iconic seafront hotel, exudes old-school charm and luxury with a warm, unpretentious atmosphere. Established in 1864, it combines history and elegance, offering concierge services, valet parking, and a prime location. Its storied past includes hosting notable guests like ABBA, appearances in Quadrophenia and Only Fools and Horses, and surviving pivotal events such as WWII vandalism and the 1984 bombing.
Currently undergoing a multi-million-pound refurbishment, the hotel aims to modernise its 205 rooms while preserving its historic character. Highlights include marble bathrooms, sustainably sourced furnishings, and 50 rooms with balconies. The revamped design incorporates soft tones, herringbone flooring, and locally inspired art. Guests can enjoy stunning views, particularly from the corner suites, and the nostalgic charm of the Victoria Bar & Lounge. Completion of the refurbishment, including a new spa and gym, is expected by March 2025.
