Project: U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Washington, DC, Various locations nationwide
What if you could ensure a country’s financial system is fair, safe, and legally sound?
Money continues to be one of the leading causes of stress for the average American. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), does its part to relieve that stress and protect citizens’ financial security by working to ensure all national banks and savings associations operate safely, fairly, and legally. In pursuit of this mission, the OCC has invested heavily over the past five years to update their access to and use of technology, approach to data security, and workplace environments to attract and retain the nation’s top talent.
Our relationship with OCC began with their 2013 headquarters renovation, and has progressed to include project and move management, furniture procurement and reutilization management, and logistical planning and support services for projects in 74 different locations – including district, field, and satellite offices across the United States. The headquarters consolidation involved the in-place renovation and re-stacking of OCC’s existing 9-story, 396,000 SF building, as well as an expansion into 62,000 SF of neighboring leased facilities. We managed approximately 30 group moves of 1,200+ staff and contractors into and out of swing space throughout the consolidation. Providing comprehensive relocation management services, we coordinated all pre-move planning – including 24/7 oversight of the on-site move activities. Additionally, we were responsible for procuring, repurposing, warehousing, and disposing of furniture through the established GSA program.
Currently, we continue to participate in the OCC’s yearly asset inventory control exercise, managing the asset information gathering phase for all IT and communications equipment and artwork at the headquarters campus, local data center, and warehouse facility. Furthering our relationship, we also manage the furniture procurement, delivery, and installation process for the OCC’s district, field, and satellite offices across the United States – including the production of an operations and maintenance manual, handling of all warranty issues for one year after installation, and move management of all personnel into their new office space.
Protecting the finances of over 318 million U.S. citizens is an enormous task. Thankfully, our relationship provides the opportunity to lighten their load – allowing the OCC to focus on the logistics of their mission, not their workplace.
