MGAC was one of eighteen project management firms that submitted proposals for this LEEDT certified project. MGAC was selected to manage the data center design, construction, and relocation for this $5 billion insurance company, while ensuring critical operations were unaffected. The project was a new greenfield project, on an exceptionally contoured site. The new data center is a two story precast concrete structure, with 6,000 SF of office space. The space features 2N electrical redundancy, N+1 mechanical redundancy, four 2 MW generator sets, and a dedicated on site loadbank. The project is designed for 30W/SF, but is a scalable design allowing technology growth to drive the subsequent installation to 60W/SF capacity. This MGAC project was the first data center to achieve LEEDT Silver certification and certification as Tier III by the Uptime Institute.
