Mark G. Anderson Consultants, (MGAC) acted as the Owner’s representative, beginning with the initial design concept through contractor selection, final completion and occupancy. This $19 million project involved the renovation an existing 180,000 SF, five-story office building for the Owner to consolidate some of its regional offices into a single, central operations facility. Supplemental HVAC and standby power systems were installed to support the mission critical components for a Tier 3 facility. Construction proceeded in three overlapping phases – (1) demolition, (2) build out of the new data center, NOC/SOC, SCIF and support facilities and (3) build out of the balance of the building. Total project duration from initial design to occupancy was 10 months.
